On the day of the appointment, after visiting the school and consulting witht he person in charge, get a copy of the application for admission and make an appointment for the diagnostic test.
Please send in the fee for the diagnostic test by the day nefore the test day. Please submit the application for admission and required documents. The disgnostic test covers the four subjects of English, Word Building, Reading, Math, and is offered online by S.O.T. Please be aware that testing usually takes 2 to 3 hours, and please set aside enough time in your schedule for the testing.
After a comprehensive examination of the submitted documents and the diagnostic test results, admission candidates will be notified of the interview schedule. The applicants and their parents will be interviewed separately accodring to the S.O.T. regulations. On the day of the interview, both parents must accompany the applicant. If one of the applicant's parents is unable to attend the interview, they must submit a proxy statement according to SCIS regulations.
After the parent interview, a final student interview will be conducted to verify the student's personal intent to enter SCIS. If the student does not show a clear intent to attend SCIS, admission will not be granted no matter how well he/she performed on the diagnostic test.
After a careful deliberation by all of the faculty of SCIS, the student and his/her parents who have gone through all the proceedings above will receive an acceptane notice through email or kakaotalk. Please follow all the processes by the deadline for admission procedure shown on the acceptance notice. If the progresses are not completed by the midnight of the deadline date, there will be a risk of the acceptance being canceled.
